The observatory's principal instrument (so far :-) is a 12" Meade LX200. It is unlikely to ever see its tripod again. But it will sometimes be operated in polar mode with a wedge.
And yes, that's a Jiffy Focuser on my focus knob :-)
I also have a TeleVue Pronto (shown here on a photo tripod) which I sometimes use as a "finder" on the LX200.
For traveling (and LX200 downtime) I have a
home built 10" f/6 Newtonian.
